WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - San Diego State senior two-meter player Larisa Baltgalvis was named first-team All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation while senior goalkeeper Curran Teigen was listed honorable mention as announced by the league office today.
This is the second straight year that Baltgalvis has been given the honor. The La Mesa, Calif., native is the Aztecs' all-time leading scorer with 219 goals and career in assists with 50. She has scored a team-high 48 goals this year, assisted on 17 and recorded 31 thefts.
Teigen has been a mainstay in front of the SDSU goal since her sophomore year. A native of Lakeside, Calif., Teigen owns a goals-against average of 6.19 this season and snagged 170 saves. During her career, she has 809 saves in her career.
San Diego State (10-13, 4-5 MPSF) is currently ranked sixth in the nation. The Aztecs finished fifth at last weekend's MPSF Championships in San Jose, Calif., and will travel to UCSD Friday afternoon to face the Tritons at 3:30 p.m.
