Water Polo's Baltgalvis, Teigen Earn All-America Accolades

SAN DIEGO - San Diego State water polo two-meter player Larisa Baltgalvis was named second-team All-America while goalkeeper Curran Teigen was named honorable mention All-America today by the American Water Polo Coaches Assocation.

A senior from San Diego (Helix HS), Baltgalvis is SDSU's all-time leading goal scorer and also holds the school record for career assists. She was named first-team All-America in 1999.

Teigen hails from Lakeside, Calif. (El Capitan HS) and leaves SDSU as the school's career leader in saves. This is the first such award for Teigen.

San Diego State finished the 2000 campaign with a 18-16 overall record and ranked sixth in the nation.
