BROOMFIELD, Colo. - The San Diego State women's golf team clinched its first title of the fall on Tuesday, winning the Heather Farr Memorial Tournament by three strokes over the University of Colorado.
The Aztecs shot the tournament's best round, a 299, on Tuesday to finish with a two-day total of 600. San Diego State's Joanne Clingan won the individual title as her 69-71 was nine strokes better than Mayumi Motoyama of Colorado State. The two women were co-leaders after Monday, when they both shot 69.
San Diego State had two of the top three finishers as Sandy Kim had a two-day total of 150 to finish third in the 79-player field. Other Aztec finishers included Shayna Miyajima, who was 22nd with a 156, along with teammate Claire Riley. Heather Rollo carded a 162 to finish 48th in the field.
