WAHIAWA, Hawaii - The No. 22 San Diego State men's golf team is in 10th place of 19 teams after Wednesday's first round of the John A. Burns Intercollegiate Invitational, hosted by the University of Hawaii at the Leilehua Golf Course.
The Aztecs scored a 291, three-over-par, on today's first round. Stanford leads the field with a 275, 13-under-par.
SDSU senior Ryan Donovan leads the Aztecs in 15th place with a 70. Sophomore John Lieber turned in the next best round with a 72, in 30th. Alex Aragon of Stanford and Michael Letzig of New Mexico both turned in the best finishes of the day with a 66, six-under-par.
Action will continue Thursday with another 18 holes followed by the final round on Friday.
