SAN DIEGO -- The 56th-ranked San Diego State men's tennis team ran its win streak to two matches with a 5-2 victory over Princeton on Monday afternoon at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club.
The Aztecs lost all three doubles matches, but rallied to claim five of six singles matches to post the victory.
"We played awful in doubles," SDSU head coach Gene Carswell said. "But I am proud of the way we responded in singles play."
San Diego State got straight set victories from Michael Coehlo at number six, Daniel Jung at number three and 69th-ranked Felix Hardt at number one. Up 3-2, the Aztecs clinched the team victory when Dontia Haynes claimed a 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 victory at number five singles.
The Aztecs are back in action tomorrow when San Diego State travels to Los Angeles to battle ninth-ranked UCLA.
