SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Billy White's rebound basket with 11 seconds left in overtime lifted San Diego State to a 79-78 victory over previously unbeaten Sam Houston State Friday night.
White, whose tip-in with 0.2 seconds left in regulation tied the game at 69-69, put back a missed three-pointer by D.J. Gay.
Shame McDaniel, who had a game-high 25 points for Sam Houston, took a shot that fell short at the buzzer as the Bearkats of the Southland Conference fell to 10-1.
San Diego State of the Mountain West Conference is 10-3.
The game was tied on eight occasions with 16 lead changes, including five in the overtime.
