SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State men's golf team got into the holiday season this past Saturday as they participated in the annual Snow Day at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. This is the fifth time that the men's team has participated in the event.
"Snow Day is a great opportunity for our student-athletes to be involved in the community and help Father Joe's kids," said head coach Ryan Donovan.
Snow Day is an annual event hosted by SDSU alum Phil Ward. Ward, who is also an active supporter of the men's golf program, hosts the event each winter for 80-100 children. Snow machines are brought in to make a sledding hill on the golf course for the children. There is also hot chocolate, a magician and even visits from Santa and Frosty the Snowman.
