IRVINE, Calif. - Sixth-ranked San Diego State played its second game in as many days and dropped a 12-10 decision at No. 8 UC Irvine on Saturday. The Aztecs watch their record fall to 11-6 on the season.

The Anteaters jumped out a 3-0 lead before SDSU stopped the game-opening run with goals from Samantha Voigt and Alex Ford in the final 1:55. UC Irvine scored the first two goals of the second quarter only to have the Aztecs score twice in a matter of 38 seconds.
