Aztecs Put Longest Home Win Streak in 16 Seasons on the Line Saturday in Annual KGB SkyShow Game
• SDSU welcomes Idaho on Saturday for its annual Homecoming game, followed by the KGB SkyShow. Kickoff is 3:30 p.m. PT
• San Diego State and Idaho meet for the fifth time. The series is tied at two wins apiece and the teams are meeting for the third time in the last seven seasons.
• The Aztecs have won both previous encounters with the Vandals at Qualcomm Stadium - 40-21 in 1996 and 45-17 in 2008.
• The game serves as the annual SkyShow game with a spectacular firework display following the game. This is the 11th consecutive season SDSU has hosted the event, and the Aztecs have averaged 50,228 fans for the games affiliated with the event.
• SDSU is 12-6 since Sept. 28, 2013, the 31st-best record in FBS.
• For the season, the Aztecs rank 29th nationally in rushing at 216.1 yards per game.
• San Diego State has won 12 consecutive games and is 20-2 in the Rocky Long era when rushing for at least 200 yards.
Winning at "Aztec Warrior Stadium"
• SDSU enters Saturday with a five-game home field winning streak. That is tied for the 19th-longest active home win streak in the nation.
• The current home win streak is the longest for the Aztecs since they won five straight from Oct. 9, 1998 through Sept. 4, 1999.
• SDSU has not put together a home win streak of at least six games since a seven-game stretch from Sept. 7, 1996 through Sept. 5, 1997.
• San Diego State has won six consecutive home games against teams that were not ranked in the top 25 at the time of the game.
• Entering action this week, the Aztecs are tied with Arkansas State, Oklahoma, Rice, Western Kentucky and Western Michigan for the fewest home games played to date (3).
• SDSU is 3-0 at home this season. The Aztecs have not completed a perfect home record in a season since 1977, when SDSU went 7-0 at home en route to a 10-1 overall record.
Aztecs' Stingy Defense Continues to Climb Rankings
• For the season, the Aztecs lead the Mountain West in scoring defense and total defense. SDSU is 20th nationally in scoring defense (20.1) and 23rd in total defense (339.1).
• The last time the Aztecs led the league in either category was 2003 behind the strength of two-time All-American Kirk Morrison.
• In its last three games, SDSU has allowed a total of 54 points and 865 yards of offense.
• Since Oct. 9 (last four weekends), San Diego State is 13th in total defense (288.3) and 15th nationally in scoring defense (18.0).
• The Aztecs have intercepted a pass in nine consecutive games. It is the longest streak for the school since 2006-07.

• Sophomore running back Donnel Pumphrey (157 att., 1,074 yds., 12 TD) is ninth nationally in rushing yards per game (134.3), eighth in rushing TDs (12) and 11th in rushing yards per carry (6.84).
• In his last three games, the Doak Walker Award candidate has 58 carries, 513 yards, 8.84 yards per carry and three touchdowns.
• Last Saturday at Nevada, he became the 15th SDSU player (20th occasion) and just the sixth sophomore to post a 1,000-yard rushing campaign.
• His 6.48 career rush average is seventh among all active FBS players.
