LOS ANGELES, Calif. - San Diego state divers Alexandra Caplan and Shannon Finigan turned in top 12 finishes on the 1-meter springboard at the Trojan Diving Invitational Saturday afternoon at USC's Uytengsu Aquatic Center. A total of 30 athletes competed in the event including five Aztec divers.

Caplan added to her third-place on the 3-meter board with a fourth-place on the 1-meter board with a score of 269.20. She had posted a mark of 282.05 to finish second in the prelims.

Fellow Aztec Shannon Finigan captured 12th place in the finals with a score of 227.75. She has a mark of 236.45 in the prelim to qualify for the finals with a 10th-place finish.

SDSU's other divers competing in the prelims on 1-meter board included Isabelle Choquehuanca (228.10 - 14th), Payton Gabris (223.15 - 17th) and Nicole Dutton (200.85 - 26th).

The dives will complete the weekend at the Trojan Diving Invitational with competition on the platform Sunday with starting at 11:00 a.m.
