SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State water polo team will play host to the annual alumni game on Saturday, Jan. 17, at noon PT. Admission to the game is free and will take place at Aztec Aquaplex, SDSU's on-campus home.
The exhibition contest will be the fans' first chance to see the defending Golden Coast Conference regular-season champions in action. The Aztecs opened practice on Monday and enter the 2015 campaign looking to post their 10th straight 20-win campaign.
For the alumni, it comes into the game having earned an 11-10 sudden-death decision last year. Past All-Americans, all-conference players and Aztecs from San Diego State's NCAA tournament teams from the last 20 years are expected to appear and participate.
The Aztec Varsity Club will also be onsite and will provide bagels and muffins for all women's water polo alumni beginning at 11 a.m. PT.
SDSU will officially open the season on Feb. 5, when it plays host to Hartwick College at Aztec Aquaplex. First sprint is set for 3 p.m. PT.
