SAN DIEGO - San Diego State, the defending Golden Coast Conference regular-season champions, have been picked to repeat in 2015 by the league's head coaches. The Aztecs earned 33 points and three first-place votes to finish atop the seven-team preseason coaches' poll.

Pacific and LMU tied for second place after each garnered 30 points. The Tigers, however, received three first-place tallies, while the Lions grabbed the final first-place consideration after they won the GCC tournament title in 2014.

Tying for fourth place was California Baptist and Santa Clara, both of which totaled 18 points. Azusa Pacific came in sixth place with 11 points and Fresno Pacific rounded out the poll with seven points.

SDSU, which completed the 2014 GCC campaign with a perfect 6-0 record, will jump into the pool for the first time this season when it takes on the Aztec alumni this Saturday. The annual exhibition is set for noon PT at Aztec Aquaplex and admission is free. San Diego State's season opener is set for Feb. 5, when it plays host to Hartwick College at 3 p.m. PT.
