SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The San Diego State women's soccer team continued to stymie its Mountain West opponents and posted its fourth-straight shutout of a conference foe with a 3-0 victory over Colorado State on Friday night.

The win extends the Aztecs' shutout streak to 372:12, their longest string of clean sheets since 2012, and moves the Scarlet and Black to 8-4 overall with a 4-1 mark in Mountain West play. Colorado State falls to 3-9-2 overall, 0-4-1 MW with the loss.

"Our plan for tonight was go come out early, take control of the game, get a goal and go from there, and we were able to accomplish that," head coach Mike Friesen said. "We have a big time weekend in terms of travel. We wanted to have a good start and play a lot of people and overall, I'm pleased with the result."

Leah Pruitt, who led the Mountain West with six assists coming into the match, tacked on another two against the Rams. Hedda Regefalk netted her third goal of the season, Milan Moses scored her fifth of the year, and Dani De Rosa recorded her second marker of the campaign.

With temperatures in the high 90's at the start of the match, San Diego State got off to the fast start it wanted with a goal just seven minutes in. Jen Rupey sent a cross to Regefalk, who headed in the eventual match-winner from close range for the 1-0 start.

At 31:33, the Aztecs produced a stellar offensive play to double their lead. DeRosa's give-and-go move sent it to Leah Pruitt, who promptly returned the ball and allowed DeRosa to take a left-footed shot into the top right corner of the net.

San Diego State came out from the halftime intermission ready to prove it still had control of the contest. Just over three minutes into the second half, Pruitt fed the ball to Milan Moses, who streaked into the box and finished with a straight shot into the center of the net for the final 3-0 score.

Melanie Vaughn's (8-4) sixth solo shutout of the season came after she made four stops, three of which came in the second half. Jesse McGinley suffered the loss for Colorado State, with her record falling with 3-9-2.

During the match, San Diego State out-shot the Rams, 17-4, led by Regefalk's and Aliyah Utush's four attempts each. The Aztecs took nine corner kicks, not allowing any Colorado State tries for a corner kick.

The Aztecs will go for their fifth-straight conference victory on Sunday with a 1 p.m. (MT) contest at Wyoming. The match will be streamed on GoAztecs.com via the Mountain West Network.
