SAN DIEGO -

2017-18 Women's Tennis Schedule

San Diego State women's tennis head coach Peter Mattera revealed his team's schedule for the 2017-18 season on Monday, which kicks off with three fall tournaments before the dual matches begin in early 2018.

San Diego State will open the fall campaign with a pair of fall tournaments at home, the SDSU Fall Classic I & II, scheduled for Sept. 29-Oct. 1 and Nov. 10-12, respectively. Between the fall classics, the Aztecs will also compete at the ITA Regionals, set for Oct. 19-23, at the Barnes Tennis Center in Point Loma.

SDSU's dual campaign begins on Jan. 21, 2018, when they host UC Riverside at the Aztec Tennis Center. The team will also welcome UC San Diego on Jan. 27 and UC Irvine the following day, Jan. 28.

The Aztecs are set to travel north to Berkeley, Calif., on Feb. 1 for an afternoon match against the California Golden Bears. Two days later, the team returns to the ATC to host UC Davis, beginning a five-match homestand. SDSU will face back-to-back opponents two weekends in a row, first BYU (Feb. 10) and cross-town foe USD (Feb. 11), followed by USC (Feb. 16) and Cal Poly (Feb. 17).

The month of February ends with a trip to Honolulu, Hawai'i, where the Aztecs have a neutral-site contest against Grand Canyon on Feb. 24, followed by a match at Hawai'i on Feb. 25.

Following the team's matchups in the Aloha State, SDSU kicks off the month of March with a visit to Arizona State on March 2 in Tempe, Ariz. Following the desert trip, the Aztecs host Furman at home on March 6, followed by Saint Mary's on March 10. SDSU will also play Dartmouth in a neutral-site match on March 16 at the La Jolla Beach Club.

Wrapping up play in March, SDSU hosts Cal State Fullerton (March 23) and Sacramento State (March 24) at home before traveling to its first conference matchup against UNLV in Las Vegas, Nev., on March 30.

After the team's short trip to Nevada, the Aztecs travel back to Southern California for a trip to Long Beach State on April 7, but return home for play against San Francisco the following day (April 8), finishing non-conference play.

Rounding out the season, SDSU faces three conference opponents prior to heading to the Mountain West Championships at the end of the month. First, Nevada visits the ATC on April 13 before the Aztecs travel north to play the Fresno State Bulldogs on April 17. To cap the regular season, San José State will travel to America's Finest City for SDSU's season finale on April 26.

The Mountain West Championships will be hosted by Boise State April 26-29 in Boise, Idaho.
