• The Aztecs are hosting Utah State Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m.

• SDSU beat Utah State on the road 56-54 on February 9. Senior Arantxa Gómez Ferrer hit two clutch free throws win 22 seconds left and the Aztecs got two big defensive stops in the final seconds to secure their third straight win.
• The Aztecs held the Aggies to 30 percent shooting overall and 18 percent in the fourth quarter.
• In their win at Utah State, SDSU was 9-for-15 from three-point territory, tying a season-high with 60 percent accuracy.
• The Aztecs lost to UNLV 62-49 Saturday afternoon. UNLV went on a 17-2 run in the fourth quarter and the Aztecs were outscored 23-9 in the final frame.
• Freshman Mallory Adams has scored 10 or more points nine of her last ten games, averaging 14.5 points over that span.
• Mallory Adams is one of three true freshmen nationally to average 12.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
• Sophia Ramos leads all freshmen in the Mountain West in points, assists, field goal percentage, free throw percentage and minutes.
• Ramos is the only true freshman in the nation to average 14 points, 4.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game.
• Sophomore Najé Murray has moved into the top ten in school history for career three-pointers and three-point attempts. Entering the weekend, she is 114-341 (.334), which would rank her at No. 7 for three-point makes and attempts. At her current rate of 2.4 made threes per game, Murray has a chance to break the SDSU record for made three-pointers in a season.
• SDSU leads the conference in made free throws. Freshman Mallory Adams is second in the MW in free throws made and first in attempts.
• The Aztecs are currently in eighth place in the Mountain West standings. Their remaining games are against Utah State (6th), San José State (10th), Fresno State (4th) and Nevada (7th).
Noting the UNLV Game (L, 49-62, 2-23-19)
• The Aztecs were just 3-for-11 from three while the Rebels were 8-for-16, the best percentage an opponent has shot against the Aztecs this season.
• UNLV attempted 25 free throws, including 18 in the fourth quarter, which tied a season-high for Aztec opponents (Air Force, 1-30-19).
• This was only the third time the Aztecs have been held below 50 points.
• This was only the second time SDSU has lost when holding an opponent below 40 percent from the field (9-2).
• The Aztecs are now 1-9 when they are outrebounded.
• Mallory Adams has scored in double-digits in nine of the Aztecs' last 10 games.
• Adams has led the Aztecs in rebounding in 18 of their 25 games.
• Sophia Ramos scored 12 points and has now scored in double-digits in 21 of SDSU's 25 games.
• Ramos has also led the Aztecs in assists in 19 of their 25 games.
Scouting the Aggies
• Utah State is 12-15 overall and 7-8 in conference.
• They started 5-1 in league, but since then are just 2-7.
• Utah State is coming off a big 81-68 win over first place Boise State last Saturday.
• The Aggies are 5-6 on the road.
• They are second in the MW in blocks (4.3) and rebounds (38.1) per game.
• They are second to last in FT percentage (69.9) and eighth free throws made.
• Shannon Dufficy leads the team in scoring (15.6 ppg) and is tops in the conference in rebounds per game (10.4) and double-doubles (16).
• Deja Mason is second in the conference with 1.4 blocks per game. She is the Aggies' all-time leader in blocks.
• Eliza West leads the team with 5.1 assists per game, third best in the conference.
• Head Coach Jerry Finkbeiner (7th year) is closing in on 600 career wins. He made previous stops at Oral Roberts (1996-2013) and Southern Nazarene (1991-96).
All-Time Series vs. the Aggies
• The Aztecs lead the all-time series 7-5.
• Since Utah State joined the Mountain West, the Aztecs are 4-5 against the Aggies.
• They Aggies have won five of the last seven meetings.
• SDSU beat Utah State 56-54 in Logan two weeks ago.
• They played only once last year, and the Aggies won 62-58 in Logan (12-30-17).
• SDSU is 4-1 all-time in San Diego against Utah State.
• SDSU once scored 132 points against the Aggies en route to a 132-64 win on December 16, 1983.
