NEW ORLEANS – Aztec pole vaulter Bonnie Draxler was named a USTFCCCA First Team All-American after finishing second in the NCAA Indoor Championships over the weekend.

Draxler cleared 4.56 meters (14 feet, 11 ½ inches), the best mark of her career. The 4.56 mark also broke her own Mountain West and school record and is the eighth best mark in NCAA Indoor history.

Draxler was a second team all-American last indoor season and an honorable mention selection in the 2017 outdoor season.

Earlier this year, Draxler was named the USTFCCCA West Region Field Athlete of the Year.
