AZUSA, Calif. – A small group of Aztecs competed in the Bryan Clay Invitational on the campus of Azusa Pacific Friday afternoon. The rest of the team will be in action Saturday at Long Beach State's Beach Invitational.
Freshman Danae Dyer posted the fastest time of her young collegiate career in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 13.67, good for tenth place.
Callista Fletcher had the top Aztec time in the 100 meter dash, finishing in 11.68 seconds, good for eighth place. Danae Dyer ran a wind-aided 11.87 (19th place) and Tai McDonald had the best non-wind-aided time of her collegiate career (38th place, 12.11).
Fletcher and McDonald also ran in the 200 meter dash. Fletcher had a personal best time of 23.60 to take fifth place. McDonald finished in 24.69, good for 37th place (out of 135 runners).
Jalyn Harris came in 12th place in the 400 meter dash with a time of 54.56.

The Aztecs will head to Long Beach for the Beach Invitational on Saturday.
