SAN DIEGO -The Aztec women's basketball team hosts Alabama A&M Thursday morning at 11 a.m. for the annual Field Trip game. There will be no stream, but there will be an audio-only broadcast with Chris Ello on the call.

Aztec Notes
• SDSU beat Westcliff 77-56 Tuesday evening in a game that was played at Grossmont College due to a power outage at San Diego State. The Aztecs were led by Taylor Kalmer's 19 points, which tied her career-high set at Oregon State. Kalmer also tied her career-high for assists with six.
• Freshman Isabela Hernandez hit four three-pointers and finished with 16 points, easily a career-high for the lefty from Bellingham, Wash.
• The Aztecs beat Towson 80-72 in their home opener last Saturday. SDSU rallied from a 12-point second half deficit and had five players score 10 or more points.
• The Aztecs lost at Hawai'i 61-58 in their season opener November 5. Four Aztecs were in double-digits, led by Sophia Ramos' 14 points.
• SDSU is in a stretch where they play six home games out of seven and four games in eight days.
• SDSU has three straight games against opponents that have never faced before. Towson (Nov. 9), Westcliff (Nov. 12) and Alabama A&M (Nov. 14).
• The Aztecs beat Regina (Canada) 84-52 in their exhibition game Oct. 27. Four Aztecs finished in double-digits and they were led by Regina native Zayn Dornstauder, who scored 16 points on 5-for-6 shooting in just 13 minutes. Sophia Ramos (14), Baylee Vanderdoes (11) and Mallory Adams (10) also scored in double-digits.
• San Diego State is receiving votes in the preseason Coaches' Poll, marking the first time since 2012 the Aztecs have been recognized in a national poll.
• The Aztecs were picked to finish fifth in the Mountain West preseason poll, their highest preseason ranking since 2013, Coach Terry's first year on The Mesa.
• SDSU finished with 14 wins in the 2018-19 season, the most they have had under head coach Stacie Terry.
 
Noting the Last Game (W, 77-56 vs. Westcliff at Grossmont College)
• Both Taylor Kalmer (19 points) and Isabela Hernandez (16 points) set new career-highs. They combined to go 7-for-10 on three-point field goals.
• Kalmer also tied a career-high with six assists.
• Kalmer, along with Zayn Dornstauder, has scored in double-digits in all three games for the Aztecs.
• Three Aztecs set or tied their career-high in rebounds: Kennedi Villa (5), Monique Terry (5) and Jayden Perez (5).
• Zayn Dornstauder tied a career-high with six made field goals.
• SDSU made 30 field goals, which matched their season-high from a year ago.
• SDSU had 23 assists on their 30 field goals.
 
Opponent Notebook (Alabama A&M)
• They are 0-1 on the year, losing their season opener to Nebraska 68-46.
• Elexis Evans was a preseason All-SWAC first team pick while Nigeria Jones was a second team selection.
• They went 13-17 last year and 8-10 in the SWAC.
• They are coached by Margaret Richards (4th season). Prior to Alabama A&M, she was an assistant at Clemson (2015-16) and Western Kentucky (2012-14).
• SDSU is 7-1 all-time against teams from the SWAC.
• This will be the first ever meeting between these programs.
