SAN DIEGO – San Diego State's swimming and diving team closes out its 2020-21 regular-season efforts this Friday and Saturday with dual meets against Pepperdine and at the University of San Diego.
The Aztecs host Pepperdine for Senior Day with the meet beginning at 12 p.m. at Aztec Aquaplex on Friday, Jan. 29, and then travel to the Toreros Saturday, Jan. 30 to compete in their final dual meet of the regular season, beginning at noon. The Scarlet and Black's visit to the University of San Diego is the rescheduled competition for their Jan. 20 postponed dual with the Toreros due to COVID-19 issues within the USD swim and dive program.
Friday's meet will honor the Aztecs' four seniors Elli Ferrin, Erica Sarver, Larisa Tam, and Klara Thormalm, for their efforts and accomplishments as members of the San Diego swimming and diving program over the past four seasons. Due to city, county, and state COVID-19 regulations, fans will not be allowed to attend the meet in person. The senior day festivities and other parts of the dual meet will be live-streamed on the Aztecs' Instagram account, @sdsuswimanddive.
SDSU returns to the water after two successful road dual meets at both Pepperdine and Cal Poly, Jan. 14-15. The program earned its 24th and 25th consecutive dual meet wins topping the Waves 95-83 and the Mustangs 169-109.
