FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – San Diego State's divers completed their time at the NCAA Zone E Championships held at Wall Aquatic Center on the campus of Northern Arizona University on Wednesday.
Juniors Ximena Lechuga Gonzalez and Gina Cazares competed on the platform today, earning 12th and 16th place in the finals, respectively. Gonzalez kicked off the day with a score of 228.75 in the preliminary round, good for 10th overall. Cazares totaled 219.20 points in the qualifying round, good for 13th place moving into the finals. Gonzalez added 205.4 points in the finals while Cazares scored 176.25 points for their finals finishes of 12th and 16th overall. Junior Lexi Letts did not compete during the final day of the zone championships.
Gonzalez and the Aztecs' swimming qualifier senior Klara Thormalm now prep for the NCAA Championships held March 17-20 in Greensboro, N.C.
