COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- A school-record 35 San Diego State football student-athletes were named to the 2020 Fall Academic All-Conference team, the Mountain West announced Friday.
To be eligible for 2020 Fall Academic All-Conference honors, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. Football was the only Mountain West sport to compete in the fall season.
The 35 Fall Academic All-Conference selections are SDSU football's most in the history of the league, eclipsing its previous record of 14 (2010, 2012 and 2013). In order to make the Fall Academic All-Conference team in previous seasons, one had to be a starter or significant contributor. The MW awards recognition committee omitted that aspect this year due to COVID-19.

The Aztecs finished 4-4 last season with their four losses coming to teams that went a combined 29-6 (.829).
