SAN DIEGO – The Aztec women's basketball team returns home to host Fresno State Thursday evening at 6 p.m.

• SDSU's 16-5 start is the Aztecs' best record through 21 games since the 2012-13 season (also 16-5). SDSU began the season 9-1 which was their best start since 1995-96.
• The Aztecs are coming off wins against New Mexico (65-61) and at Wyoming (73-66).
• Against New Mexico, SDSU rallied from a 13-point second half deficit win, their largest second half comeback in four years.
• At Wyoming, the Aztecs never trailed, and it was their first win in Laramie since 2015.
• The Aztecs will play their next three games in a six-day stretch and beginning Monday they will play four straight road games.
• SDSU's 16 wins have already surpassed their total from last year.
• Defensively, the Aztecs are first in the Mountain West in points allowed (55.9) and second in steals per game (10.3) and three-point percentage defense (.281).
• On offense, SDSU is second in the Mountain West in three-point percentage (.352) and assists per game (14.8) and third in turnover margin (+4.5).
• SDSU's 1.02 assist-to-turnover ratio is the Aztecs' best since the 1983-84 season.

• Four different Aztecs have led the team in scoring in five games (Ramos, Avinger, Staples & Prohaska).
• SDSU has six players in their fifth year of college and all six are currently pursuing a master's degree.
• Sophia Ramos is the only player in the nation with at least 1,800 points, 600 rebounds and 450 assists in her career.
• Ramos is second in school history in points and assists and is in the top three in program history in five other statistical categories including games (1st), made free throws (3rd), and made threes (3rd). She has scored in double-digits in the last 12 games and in 104 in her career.
• Ramos leads the Mountain West in free throw percentage (.892).
• Mercedes Staples (Centerville, Utah), who returned after missing seven games due to injury, is shooting 48.3 percent from three on the year and 40.2 percent in her SDSU career, the best in program history.
• Asia Avinger is second in the Mountain West in assists per game (5.1) and field goal percentage (.524) in conference play.
• SDSU is 13-0 when scoring 60 or more points.
• In their 21 games, SDSU has had fewer turnovers than their opponent 16 times and a better field goal % on 14 occasions.
• SDSU has had more steals than their opponent in 18 of their 21 games and their 10.3 swipes per game is 35th in the country.
• 11 of SDSU's 16 wins have been by double-digits and six have been by at least 20 points.
• The Aztecs have held their opponent under 50 points seven times and under 40 percent shooting 12 times.
• SDSU is 11-1 at home this season with an average margin of victory of 19.8 points. Since the beginning of last year, the Aztecs are 21-6 inside Viejas Arena.
