SAN DIEGO – Jenna Fee Feyerabend and Simone Johnson have qualified and will represent the Aztecs at the 2023 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, N.M. next Friday and Saturday.
Feyerabend qualified for Nationals in the Pentathlon. Her season-best time of 4,179 is the most points in indoor school history and overall 10th best in the nation.
"I am excited to represent the Aztecs at the NCAA Championships and am looking forward to competing with the best pentathletes in the country," Feyerabend explained. "I am thankful for this opportunity to grow as an athlete, to enjoy the competition, and to go push my PRs another time."
Simone Johnson qualified for the triple jump after a second place finish at the Mountain West Indoor Championships.
Her mark of 44-00.75 (13.43m) earned her second place in the event, setting a new PR, and the 11th best performance in the nation.
Both Feyerabend and Johnson were awarded Mountain West All-Conference honors for their achievements at the Conference Championships last weekend.
"I feel extremely blessed and thankful that my coach has assisted me to get to this point," Johnson shared. "My hard work has paid off, now it's time to finish strong!"

The remaining Aztecs begin the outdoor campaign Saturday at the Ben Brown Invitational – Distance/Carnival hosted in Fullerton, Calif.
