SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State track and field team wrapped up the first day of the heptathlon at the Aztec Invitational Thursday afternoon. The Aztecs had three student-athletes, Jenna Fee Feyerabend, Thalia Wilson, and Ruthie Grant-Williams, competing.
In the first event, the 100m hurdles, Thalia Wilson finished in second place with a time of 15.63 seconds.
In the high jump, Thalia Wilson placed fifth clearing 5-02.50 (1.59m). Ruthie Grant-Williams finished 13th after clearing 4-11.00 (1.50m).
As for shot put, Wilson earned a second-place finish with a throw of 39-08.00 (12.09m), a new personal best. Grant-Williams earned a 12th place finish with a mark of 34-01.50 (10.40m).
Jenna Fee Feyerabend ran the 200m dash in 25.67 seconds, earning a fifth-place finish in the event and a new personal best.
The Aztecs will finish the heptathlon tomorrow beginning with the long jump at 9:15 a.m. and then followed by the javelin throw and 800m run.
