SAN DIEGO – The Aztec men's soccer team (5-0-1) is ranked No. 21 in the latest United Soccer Coaches rankings. SDSU is one of two teams in the nation that have yet to concede a goal and their +21 goal differential is the second best in the country.

The Aztecs are also ranked No. 21 by Top Drawer Soccer and No. 25 by College Soccer News. SDSU is No. 2 in the United Soccer Coaches Far West Region rankings, which puts them ahead of Pac-12 foes Stanford, Washington, Cal and UCLA.

This is the first time in school history that SDSU has posted clean sheets in each of its first six matches and they are top five in the nation in seven major statistical categories: goals allowed average (1st, .000), shutout percentage (1st, 1.000), save percentage (1st, 1.000), goal differential (2nd, +21), goals per game (2nd, 3.50), assists per game (2nd, 3.67), and points per game (3rd, 10.67).

The Aztecs are coming off a 12-0 win over Life Pacific. It was SDSU's second most goals in a match and their most since 1984. SDSU outshot the Warriors 40-2 and had seven different players record at least two points led by Terence Okoeguale (3 goals) and Lorenzo Hernandez (2 goals, 2 assists).

The Aztecs, who are undefeated in their last 11 non-conference matches (9-0-2), host Utah Tech on Thursday before beginning Pac-12 play next week with home contests against California and No. 8 Stanford.
