SAN DIEGO – Emma Narita has been named Mountain West Co-Freshman of the Week for her performance at this week's Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, the league office announced Friday.
She garners the award for the second consecutive week after being named the freshman of the week on Wednesday for her performance in Georgia.
Narita (Tokyo, Japan) finished tied for 16th overall but tied for first among Mountain West freshman competing in the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic. She finished with one-over-par 218 in the three rounds.
The second lowest score among the Scarlet and Black, she shot a 73 and 75 on the first day of the tournament before leading the team with a two-under-par 70 in the final round.
San Diego State now turns their attention to the Mountain West Championships in Rancho Mirage, Calif. April 16-18.
