SAN DIEGO – San Diego State track and field student-athletes Jenna Fee Feyerabend, Rhea Hoyte, Alex Lomeli, Jada Moore and Jada Pierre were named to the CSC Academic All-District team for their performance in the classroom, as announced by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.
To be eligible for nomination to the 2024 CSC Academic All-District Division I Track and Field Team, candidates must have at least a sophomore standing and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher while ranking in the TFRRS top 50 performances regionally of an individual event at the time of nomination.
For the second consecutive season, Feyerabend reached the NCAA Outdoor Championships in heptathlon ultimately finishing ninth and earning second-team all-America honors. Her 5,812 points at the national meet is the second most in program history. The Germany native ranked 13th in the event at the end of the NCAA outdoor qualifying period prior to the regional preliminary meets.
A journalism major, Feyerabend owns a 4.00 cumulative GPA at San Diego State.
Hoyte qualified for the NCAA West Prelims for the 400m hurdles for the fourth consecutive year. Recording a personal best time of 58.38 at the Mountain West Championships, she ranked 32nd in the west region. The Mountain West silver medalist, her time ranks seventh in program history.
Hailing from St. Michael, Barbados, Hoyte owned a cumulative GPA of 3.57 while majoring in Business Management.
Lomeli qualified for the west preliminary meet for the third time in her career with a time of 2:05.04 in the 800m which ranked 36th in the west region. She ends her career at SDSU ranked second all-time in the event with a silver medal at this year's MW Championships.
A Los Angeles native, Lomeli held a 3.50 grade point average on The Mesa, majoring in Kinesiology.
One of the most decorated athletes in program history, Moore ranked 46th in the west region in the 100m dash and ultimately raced in both the 100m and 200m races at the west prelims. She would finish 31st in both events along with a seventh place finish in the 4x100m relay in which the Aztecs finished seventh.
A St. Louis, Miss. native, she majored in Kinesiology and held a 3.57 grade point average.
Pierre was in her first year on The Mesa, she ranked 27th in the region in the 100m hurdles to qualify for the NCAA preliminaries where she finished 44th. Her PR of 13.26 at the Mountain West Championships ranks ninth in program history.
Pierre, a native of Virginia, owns a 3.52 cumulative GPA while majoring in International Security and Conflict Resolution.
