SAN DIEGO – San Diego State lacrosse returns to Aztec Field this weekend with a 6 p.m. matchup against UC Davis on Saturday.

The Aggies are familiar foes of the Aztecs. Saturday’s contest will be the 18th meeting between the two programs. UC Davis earned a 15-12 win in the last meeting in 2024 and leads the all-time series 11-6. The last time the Aztecs beat the Aggies was in 2022 by a score of 21-17.
Coming off a loss to No. 20 Ohio State last Saturday, the Aztecs head into conference play with a 5-4 record. Their last win came against East Carolina, taking down the Pirates 17-16 at Snapdragon Stadium on March 10.
Frankie Garcia and Bella Tan continue to be the leading point scorers for the Aztecs. Garcia tops the stat sheet with 36 points off 25 goals and 11 assists while Tan has 31 points off 30 goals and one assist.
UC Davis enters the game with a 2-6 overall record, most recently falling 18-6 to Notre Dame. The Aggies have wins over Oregon and East Carolina and losses to California, Stanford, USC, Villanova and Mercer.
Grace Gebhardt and Alex Agnew lead the Aggie offense. Gebhardt is the leading goal scorer for UC Davis with 21 on the season while Agnew has earned 24 points from 11 goals and 13 assists.
Telly Schwarz is a key player on the defensive end, recording 12 ground balls and seven caused turnovers.
The draw is also a strength for the Aggies, led by Annie Cimperman with 46 draw controls on the season.
Starting goalkeeper Ally Richardson-Pepper has 80 saves through the first eight games, posting a .406 save percentage.
Following Saturday’s matchup, the Scarlet and Black will return to Aztec Field to host Colorado in the first official Big 12 game of the season at 1 p.m. on March 29.
