Fans Encouraged to Bid on a Chance to Join Aztec Football Team at Saturday's Aztec FAST™ Showcase

SAN DIEGO -- Fans are encouraged to help support Aztec Link and San Diego State student-athletes by bidding on various items, including having the chance to compete with SDSU football players at Saturday’s Aztec FAST™ Showcase presented by Aztec Link at Snapdragon Stadium.

This year’s Aztec FAST™ Showcase will begin at approximately 1 p.m. PT with seven different stations pitting 14 “boat” teams against one another in a round-robin-style tournament and the winning bidder could be on one of these teams.

Each station will last for seven minutes and will feature games of dodgeball, tic-tac-toe, quarterback accuracy, relay race, move the mountain and punt/catch. There will be an opportunity to earn one point at each station, which will count for the overall team score. The team with the most points after the stations will be declared the winner and will be rewarded with steaks, while the losing teams will settle for hot dogs.

Fans can bid on a chance to be part of one of the 14 teams.

There are many items to bid on with the winners being announced at the Aztec Link Coryell Classic Golf Tournament, held Friday at Riverwalk Golf Club at Riverwalk Golf Club in Mission Valley.

Some other prizes include a luxurious five-night stay in Cabo, a seven-night stay in Maui, the chance to travel with the Aztecs for a road football game in 2025, an opportunity to golf with Coach Sean Lewis at The Bridges in Rancho Santa Fe, a change to golf with two football student-athletes at Big Hero Charity Golf Outing at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club, custom Aztec Link Nike Air Jordan shoes and many more exciting prizes and packages.

Following the Aztec Games will be a 7-on-7 competition, which will run from 2:35-to-3 p.m.

There will also be activities for the student-athletes to interact with fans around the day’s festivities.

Admission is free to the event, while parking (Yellow or Orange section) is $10. The parking lots open at 10:30 a.m. PT.

Concessions will also be open at various partners inside Snapdragon Stadium, including both food and beverage options.

There will be opportunities to meet the San Diego State ticket sales team face-to-face to plan out the best season-ticket option for the 2025 season, which begins Aug. 28 at home against Stony Brook.

The “Link the 619” campaign’s goal is to recruit 1,000 members for the Aztec Link collective, with each supporter contributing an annual gift of $619 or $52 per month – an amount that symbolizes our local area code and showcases our strong community connection.
