SAN DIEGO -- A school-record 13 San Diego State student-athletes have been named to the 2025 National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society, the NFF announced Wednesday.
To be eligible for the award, the student athlete must have maintained a 3.2 cumulative GPA for their career, been a starter or major contributor throughout the 2024 season, and be either a senior player graduating this spring/summer who completed his final year of eligibility in 2024 or be a graduated player or grad transfer who has already earned a bachelor’s degree.
The group of Aztecs named to the NFF Hampshire Honor Society includes wide receiver Nate Bennett, offensive lineman Brayden Bryant, defensive back Arnold Escano, tight end Michael Harrison, EDGE Marlem Louis, safety Deshawn McCuin, linebacker Kyle Moretti, safety William Nimmo Jr., punter Tyler Pastula, wide receiver Ja'Shaun Poke, wide receiver Mekhi Shaw, defensive tackle Telvis Tuioti and tight end Jude Wolfe.
All 13 student-athletes earned Academic All-Mountain West honors for the fall semester. Additionally, Pastula garnered first-team all-Mountain West honors for his play on the field.
San Diego State will host the Aztec FAST™ Showcase presented by Aztec Link this Saturday (April 19) at Snapdragon Stadium, beginning at 1 p.m. PT with seven different stations pitting 14 “boat” teams against one another in a round-robin-style tournament. Following the Aztec Games will be a 7-on-7 competition, which will run from 2:35-to-3 p.m.
There will also be activities for the student-athletes to interact with fans around the day’s festivities.
Admission is free to the event, while parking (Yellow or Orange section) is $10. The parking lots open at 10:30 a.m. PT. Concessions will also be open at various partners inside Snapdragon Stadium, including both food and beverage options.
There will be opportunities to meet the San Diego State ticket sales team face-to-face to plan out the best season-ticket option for the 2025 season, which begins Aug. 28 at home against Stony Brook.
