SAN DIEGO – San Diego State men’s tennis is set for its final regular season match, hosting Nevada at the Aztec Tennis Center for a noon contest on Saturday. Prior to first serve, head coach Gene Carswell will honor seniors Alexander Mandma, Mathieu Josserand and Liam Spiers.

The Aztecs enter the matchup with an 8-12 overall record and 1-4 in the Mountain West, coming off a 4-0 loss at Air Force on Sunday. Their last win came against Grand Canyon on April 3, when the Aztecs defeated the Lopes in a 4-3 thriller. The team’s first conference win of the season was a 4-2 victory over UNLV on March 28.
Nevada brings a 12-8 overall and 2-3 conference record to The Mesa, most recently earning a 4-3 win over UNLV on the road on Thursday.
Through the 2025 campaign, San Diego State has been led by Eugenio Gonzalez Fitzmaurice, playing in the top two spots. The junior has seven dual singles wins on the season, six of which were won in straight sets.
With wins on courts four, five and six, senior Liam Spiers leads the team in singles victories with nine in the dual season, while fellow seniors Alexander Mandma and Mathieu Josserand have won eight and six, respectively.
Following Saturday’s regular season finale, the Aztecs will prep for the Mountain West Tournament, which gets underway on April 23 in Las Vegas.
