SAN DIEGO – San Diego State men’s tennis is back in action at the Aztec Tennis Center this week, hosting Grand Canyon in the team’s final non-conference match at 11 a.m. on Thursday before continuing conference play with a noon matchup against Boise State on Sunday.

The Aztecs enter Thursday’s contest with a 7-9 overall record and 1-1 in the Mountain West, most recently earning their first conference win on Friday, defeating UNLV 4-2 on their home courts.
The Lopes are 12-4 on the season and 0-0 in conference play. On a three-match winning streak, they last took down Seattle U in a 4-0 shutout victory on Friday.
The Broncos hold a 15-4 overall record and 1-0 in the Mountain West. Riding a seven-match winning streak, they will first face UNLV on Friday before heading to the Mesa for the Sunday matchup. Their first conference win came against Utah State on Friday by a score of 5-2.
Last season, the Aztecs came up just short against the Broncos on the road, falling 4-3 on March 29.
Following Sunday’s match, San Diego State will hit the road for the first time since February 16, heading to New Mexico on April 11 and Air Force on the 13th.
