SDSU has been idle since Oct. 11 when it captured the team title at the Gary Ota Memorial Invitational (formerly Fresno State Invitational) in Fresno, California. The Aztecs finished with a two-day total of 931.50 points to easily outdistance the host Bulldogs (820.50) points, while Washington State (802 pts) was slotted third, followed by Air Force (776 pts) and San José State (475 pts).

With its tally, the Aztecs won the Fresno Invitational for the first time in nine visits to the Central Valley after eight consecutive runner-up efforts dating back to 2016.

Reka Nyiradi compiled 74 individual points to lead all swimmers at the meet, winning event titles in the 400 individual medley (4:18.06) and 200 fly (2:00.75) to go with a pair of second-place finishes in the 500 free (4:58.45) and 200 back (2:00.75).

In addition, Abby Storm emerged victorious in both the 100 (54.46) and 200 back (1:59.79), while Alli Mann was triumphant in the 100 fly (55.50).

The Scarlet and Black also flexed its proverbial muscles with first-place performances in the 400 medley relay (3:42.61), 400 free relay (3:23.15) and 800 free relay (7:27.55).

Elsewhere, the Aztecs received a pair of second-place finishes from Moa Bergdahl in the 100 breast (1:01.54) and Alyssa Schiller in the 100 free (50.84).

Following their Riverside excursion, San Diego State swimmers will return to action for the Utah Tech Trailblazer Invitational, Nov. 19-22, in St. George, Utah, while Aztec divers will head to the Grand Canyon State that same weekend for the first installment of Lumberjack Invitational, Nov. 20-22, in Flagstaff, Arizona.
