SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State swim and dive team concluded its regular-season home schedule in superlative fashion on Friday with a 155-108 triumph over the University of San Diego in a dual meet at Aztec Aquaplex to highlight Senior Day festivities.

SDSU posted the fastest times in all 13 swimming events, including two relays, while adding a pair of diving titles to finish its 2025-26 dual-meet slate with a spotless 10-0 record, including a 5-0 mark at home.

Individually, the Aztecs received pool record times from Alli Mann (50 free, 100 fly) and Kaydence Bispo (200 free) to extend their winning streak to 85 dual meets dating back to Jan. 8, 2018.

Not to be outdone, the SDSU senior quartet of Abby Storm, Moa Bergdahl, Emily Tenczar and Alyssa Schiller joined forces in the 200 medley relay to set an Aztec Aquaplex standard of their own at 1:40.35.

Moments later, Bispo established her pool record in the 200 free after completing a swim of 1:48.32, followed by Sierra Tallman, who clocked in at 1:49.85, which ranks sixth in facility history, while Masen Karsten took third with a season-fast time of 1:53.58.

Similarly, the Aztecs flexed their proverbial muscles by grabbing the top three spots in the 100 back, led by Storm’s winning effort of 54.19, while Liv Peebles (54.46) and Melanie Quinto (55.15) trailed in succession. Storm’s performance in the event ranks second on the Aquaplex all-time list, just ahead of Peebles (4th) and Quinto (8th).

SDSU continued its dominance with another 1-2-3 finish in the 100 breast, highlighted by Bergdahl’s victorious time of 1:00.18, which ranks second in pool history, followed by Elisa Branca, who touched the wall in second with a career-fast clocking of 1:01.56, which is slotted fourth on the all-time Aquaplex list, while Roni Black took third with a season-best swim of 1:02.02.

The Aztecs’ tremendous was also on display in the 200 fly, where Amber Janky emerged triumphant with a season-best time of 2:00.35, edging Tenczar, who clocked in at 2:00.52, while Charlotte Sevin placed third at 2:03.54. Additionally, Janky and Tenczar’s performances rank second and third, respectively, in pool history.

Another Aquaplex record fell in the 50 freestyle, where Mann won the race with a career-fast sprint of 22.48, which also ranks seventh on the school’s all-time charts. Not to be outdone, Schiller (3rd, 22.83) and Camille Seiley (4th, 23.02) landed on the pool’s top-10 list as well after both swimmers set season-best times in the event to finish second and third, respectively.

San Diego State kept the momentum rolling with wins in the next five swimming races, but with the Scarlet and Black building an insurmountable lead on the team scoreboard, those results were scored as exhibitions.

In the 100 freestyle, Bispo completed a swim of 49.95, which ranks third in pool history, while Seiley’s season-best clocking of 50.91 is good for ninth.

Not to be outdone, Storm logged the second-fastest time on the Aquaplex charts in the 200 back with an effort of 1:58.14, while Quinto’s season-best clip of 2:00.64 ranks eighth.

In the 200 breast, Branca set a career-best time after touching the wall at 2:13.31, which ranks third on the facility’s all-time list and 10th in program history.

As the meet progressed, Mann continued her assault on the Aquaplex record book, setting a new pool standard in the 100 fly with a career-fast sprint of 52.68, which is tied for second in school history.

Meanwhile, Reka Nyiradi completed a swim of 4:59.60 as the Aztecs’ lone entry in the 500 freestyle.

Two remaining races factored in SDSU’s team score, including the 200 IM, where Branca claimed the event title with a career-fast clocking of 2:02.01, which ranks fourth on the all-time Aquaplex charts.

In the 400 freestyle relay, the Aztec foursome of Nyiradi, Karsten, Schiller and Storm combined for a winning time of 3:25.83, which ranks sixth in pool history.

Over in the diving well, SDSU’s Isabella Gomez continued her stellar season with a pair of victories, posting a season-best score of 293.25 on the 1-meter springboard, which surpassed an NCAA zone qualifying standard, while Belen Cano (284.03), Meja Palmer (280.13) and Alina Skrocki (278.78) duplicated the feat with season-high totals of their own.

In 3-meter action, Gomez claimed her fifth event title of the season with a season-best tally of 326.85 points, which ranks seventh on the school's all-time charts and eclipses another NCAA zone qualifying mark. Additionally, Cano (296.40) and Skrocki (285.45) surpassed zone qualifying scores to finish second and third, respectively.

Prior to Friday’s meet, SDSU conducted a special Senior Day ceremony, celebrating the achievements of Moa Bergdahl, Alyssa Schiller, Abby Storm and Emily Tenczar.

Aztec divers will head to the Grand Canyon State next weekend for the second installment of the NAU Lumberjack Invitational, Jan. 29-31, in Flagstaff, Arizona.

San Diego State will be aiming for its fifth consecutive conference crown just over two weeks later when the full squad travels to the Lone Star State for the 2026 Mountain West Championships, Feb. 18-21, in Houston, Texas.
