SAN DIEGO – For the second week in a row, Manon Martin of the San Diego State women’s golf team was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week.
Martin (Courbevoie, France) recorded career-best 18 and 54-hole scores at the San Diego State Classic earlier this week.
Martin opened the tournament with a one-under-par 71, her first collegiate round under par. She finished tied for 25th with a eight-over-par 224, also a new personal best.
This marks the third straight year an Aztec has won at least two Mountain West Freshman of the Week awards. Kylie Phi won it three times last year and Ema Narita took home the honors twice in the 2023-24 season.
The Aztecs return to action Feb. 23 in Sacramento when they play in the Causeway Invitational.
