RENO, NEV. – The San Diego State Women’s Track and Field team will be competing for the third consecutive weekend, this time at the Wolf Pack Classic and Combined Events meet hosted by Mountain West rival, the University of Nevada, Reno. The Aztecs will be sending 19 athletes to the Reno-Sparks Convention Center and compete across nine different events.
The meet is scheduled to begin on Thursday with the pentathlon starting at 12:00 p.m. PT. All-American and reigning Mountain West champion, Jenna Fee Feyerabend is set to make her 2026 indoor pentathlon debut. Feyerabend will be competing unattached but enters the weekend with a personal best of 4,263 points in the pentathlon, the top seeded mark is only currently 3,744.
Friday and Saturday will see the rest of the Aztec’s athletes compete. Aji Mbye is scheduled to double, racing in both the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes. She currently owns the third fastest seed time for both races. Shari Hurdman, Laraigh Allen and Olivia Hicks all own top 10 seed times in the 200-meter dash as well.
The pole vault team could also be poised for a strong weekend as well. Jordan Leveque, Sydney Ash and Peyton Bedrosian are seeded first, second and third respectively. Isabella Nilsen is also seeded in the top 10 in a field of just under 30 competitors. Over in the jump pits, Xiamara Young is the top seeded athlete with a mark of 6.34m. Young currently sits in the top 20 of all long jumpers in NCAA Division I. In the triple jump Alyssa Alumbres is seeded fifth with a mark of 12.15m.
The Wolf Pack Classic will be the first of three consecutive meets SDSU will compete in at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. Next weekend the team will spend two days at the Battle Born Classic before competing in the program’s final Mountain West Indoor Championship meet on February 27.
Individual Notes
- Xiamara Young is currently tied for the nineteenth best long jump mark in NCAA Division I at 6.34m. She is also fifteenth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.18m. She is the top ranked jumper in both events in the Mountain West as of this week.
- Aji Mbye owns top five Mountain West times in the 60-meter dash (7.49) and 200-meter dash (24.01)
- The quartet of Anna Mager, Shari Hurdman, Kelia Bentham and Lidia Major owns the second fastest 4x400 relay in the conference. Hurdman and Bentham are only freshmen.
