Four Aztecs Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

SAN DIEGO – Four members of the San Diego State women’s basketball team were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Bailey Barnhard, Kennedy Lee, Nat Martinez and Nala Williams were honored for their achievements in the classroom.

Barnhard (San Diego, Calif.) holds a 3.80 cumulative GPA as a business administration major with a marketing emphasis. She has started every game for the Aztecs and is averaging 7.7 points and 5.3 rebounds.

Kennedy Lee (Louisville, Kent.) sports a 3.66 GPA as a liberal arts major in grad school. She averages 9.1 points per game and leads the team in rebounding.

Nat Martinez (San Leandro, Calif.) is third on the team with 9.7 points per game. She has a 3.70 cumulative GPA while studying political science.

Nala Williams (Long Beach, Calif.), the Mountain West Player of the Year, has a 3.61 GPA as a communications major. She was honored by the CCAA three times while at Cal State Dominguez Hills for her academic prowess.

The Aztecs set a program record with a 3.61 team GPA in the 2025 fall semester.

To earn Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.
