Brock Anderson logged his first singles victory of the season at the Kinlen and Vivian Gee Wildcat Invite.

TUCSON, Ariz. – San Diego State men’s tennis completed the opening day of its fall schedule on Friday at the Kinlen and Vivian Gee Wildcat Invite, hosted by the University of Arizona. Brock Anderson logged his first singles victory of the season while the other two competing Aztecs came up short in their matchups.

In the eighth match of the day, Anderson cruised to a two-set win over New Mexico State’s Laurendi Fischer. After a dominant 6-1 first set, the senior clinched the victory with a 6-2 second set.

Sophomore William Kleege faced off against Kale Mize out of New Mexico State, but was bested 6-1, 6-4.

Freshman Maxime Baur battled against Northern Arizona’s Ivan Perisic, but fell in a tight 7-5 first set before getting tripped up 6-2 in the second.
