2025 SEASON (As a Sophomore): Started 12 of 16 games, compiling a 2-7 record with a 7.86 ERA… Ranked third on the squad with 60.2 innings pitched and was slotted fifth with a career-high 48 strikeouts… Fanned three or more batters on eight occasions and tossed at least five innings in six starts… Opened the year with three relief stints, posting three strikeouts apiece vs. Seton Hall at the MLB Desert Invitational (2-14-25) and against Utah in the Tony Gwynn Legacy (2-21-25)… Earned his first start of the season vs. crosstown adversary San Diego but did not factor in the decision after yielding one run on three hits and two walks with a pair of strikeouts in three innings (2-25-25)… Set a career-high with seven strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work vs. San José State (3-16-25)… Picked up his first victory of the year in the Aztecs’ 3-1 triumph over UNLV, scattering five hits and two walks while fanning five hitters in 5.2 innings, helping the Scarlet and Black complete a weekend sweep (3-30-25)… Recorded five punchouts in 4.1 innings vs. Fresno State (4-13-25)… Pitched a career-long six innings in the series finale at San José State, where he collected his second win of the season after yielding one earned run on two hits and a pair of walks with four strikeouts, helping SDSU to another three-game sweep (4-17-25)… Matched his collegiate best with seven strikeouts vs. New Mexico in another six-inning start (5-4-25)… Ended the year with a pair of relief appearances at Nevada (5-11-25) and against Washington State (5-17-25).
2024 SEASON (As a Freshman): Ranked third on the team with 24 appearances in his first year on The Mesa, earning four starts… Posted a 1-2 record and an 8.18 ERA while finishing sixth on the squad with 35 strikeouts in 33.0 innings… Compiled multiple strikeouts on 11 occasions and fanned at least one batter in eight straight games to start the year… Also issued one or fewer walks in 20 games, including five straight to begin the season… Made his Aztec debut in the second game of a season-opening series vs. Portland, offsetting three hits with a trio of strikeouts in two innings (2-17-24)… Additionally punched out three hitters in consecutive appearances against Utah (2-25-24) and at UC Riverside (2-27-24)… Logged his first start in a Scarlet and Black uniform vs. San Diego, recording career highs with four strikeouts and four innings pitched (3-5-24)… Earned his first collegiate victory in SDSU’s 8-7 thriller at Cal Poly, where he struck out two batters in 1.1 innings (4-3-24)… Appeared in the final two games of the Aztecs’ home sweep of Fresno State, combining for 1.2 scoreless innings with a pair of strikeouts (5-4/5-24)… Pitched 1.1 innings without allowing a run in SDSU’s 3-2 home victory over UC San Diego but did not factor in the decision (5-14-24).
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated in 2023 from El Dorado High School in Placentia, California, where he won three varsity letters for head coach Matt Lucas… Made 30 pitching appearances during his prep career posting a 9-9 record with a 1.99 ERA and two saves, according to MaxPreps… Struck out 112 batters against 30 walks in 109 innings while limiting the opposition to a .189 batting average… Also hit .280 in 85 games with 35 RBIs, 35 runs scored and 10 stolen bases, helping the Hawks to three straight CIF Southern Section playoff berths… Garnered Crestview League Rookie of the Year accolades as a sophomore in 2021 after batting .329 in 27 games at the plate, racking up 13 RBIs and 13 runs scored while logging a 5-4 record in 12 outings on the mound with a 2.07 ERA and 37 strikeouts… Led the team with a career-best 65 strikeouts against 19 walks as a junior in 2022, finishing with a 3-5 record and a 2.35 ERA in 14 games… Did not allow an earned run in 11.2 innings pitched over four games as a senior… Hit .310 in 28 games at the plate during the 2023 campaign with two homers, 12 RBIs and 17 runs scored… Pitched two years for the Trombly Baseball club program in Orange, California… Also drew interest from CSUN, Cal State Fullerton and Grand Canyon during the recruiting process...
