SUMMER 2024: Pitched in three games for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod League, logging a 1-0 record with a 2.84 ERA, nine strikeouts and two saves in 6.1 innings… Also appeared in eight games with the San Luis Obispo Blues of the California Collegiate League, compiling a 2-1 ledger with a 3.00 ERA, 22 strikeouts and one save in 18 innings of work.
2024 SEASON AT UCCS (As a Sophomore): Started 12 games, posting a 3-6 record with a 6.71 ERA and a career-high 60 strikeouts in 59.0 innings… Walked just 19 batters on the year, which ranked fifth in the high elevation Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference… Did not issue a walk in three straight starts from March 28-April 12… Recorded at least five strikeouts on seven occasions, fanning a collegiate-best nine batters in his final appearance of the year at the Colorado School of Mines (5-3-24)… Earned a spot on the RMAC all-academic team.
2023 SEASON AT UCCS (As a Freshman): Originally signed with Colorado-Colorado Springs out of high school… Made nine starts in 12 appearances as a rookie, logging a 3-4 record with a 10.69 ERA, 32 strikeouts and one save in 48.0 innings… Tossed two complete games, including the Mountain Lions’ 16-5 triumph over Colorado Christian, which marked his first collegiate victory (4-2-23)… Registered his first career save in a three-inning stint vs. New Mexico Highlands when he fanned a season-high seven hitters (4-16-23)… Picked up another win as a reliever in UCCS’s dramatic 14-12 decision at Adams State where he tossed 1.2 scoreless innings (4-30-23)… Emerged triumphant in his final start of the year, allowing just one run on five hits and two walks in the Mountain Lions’ 5-1 victory over Colorado Mines for his second complete game of the season (5-5-23).
PRIOR TO COLLEGE: Graduated in 2022 from Orono (Minn.) Senior High where he won two letters as an outfielder and pitcher for head coach Tom Borrell… Received Class 6AAA all-section acclaim from the Minnesota State High School Baseball Coaches Association as a senior… Recorded a .284 batting average with a .820 OPS to garner Most Improved Player accolades from his team… Smacked eight extra base hits and drove in 16 runs… Excelled in the classroom as well, earning an academic letter and a pair of all-academic team honors.
