Prior to Westwind Prep, played at Serrano High in Phelan, Calif., where he led his team in scoring, rebounding, steals and blocked shots in his final two seasons... He earned four varsity letters... Was a three-time all-league choice and a two-time all-CIF selection... Led California in scoring en route to all-state accolades... In 2008-09, he averaged 31.7 points, 15.4 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 4.9 blocks, while leading Serrano to the playoffs... At least four times in `08-09 he scoring 40 or more points, including back-to-back efforts against Rancho Cucamonga and Compton High... As a junior in 2007-08, he led the Diamondbacks to a 25-5 record and an unblemished 8-0 league mark... He averaged 22.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.1 steals and 2.0 blocks... In 2006-07, he lead the team in blocked shots (1.1) and helped Serrano to the league championship and a 25-4 record...
