Earned PING All-America honorable mention honors ... Named to the all-Mountain West Conference squad ... Ranked fourth on the team with a 73.36 stroke average.
Fall: Participated in all four events after missing the entire 2006-07 campaign ... Finished in a tie for 15th with a 5-under 208 to help SDSU capture the Alister MacKenzie Invitational in Fairfax, Calif. ... Was the team[apos]s top finisher in the Aztecs[apos] inaugural Sycuan Collegiate Invitational, posting a 2-over 218 to tie for third out of 100 golfers.
Spring: Competed in nine of 11 tournaments ... Shot a 1-under 215 in his first start of the spring at the John Burns Intercollegiate in Hawaii ... Was one of three SDSU golfers to place in the top six, firing a 5-under 211 to help the Aztecs successfully defend their team title at the Fresno State Lexus Classic ... Carded an SDSU career low of 9-under 207 at the Barona Collegiate Cup to tie for the runner-up position, his best finish since winning The Club Glove Intercollegiate in October 2005 ... Tied for 21st with a 5-over 221 to help lift the Aztecs to their third tournament crown of the season at the Oregon Duck Invitational ... Was SDSU[apos]s second-best finisher at the U.S. Intercollegiate in Stanford, Calif. ... Drained a clutch birdie on the final hole of regulation at the NCAA West Regional to help the Aztecs force a three-team sudden-death playoff ... Made par on the first playoff hole as SDSU shot a combined 2-under par, along with Texas, to advance to the national championships for the first time since 2005 ... shot a par 72 during the second and third rounds of the NCAA Championships and eventually finished in a tie for 18th place helping the team to a 14th-place national finish.
2006-07 SeasonFall/Spring: Utilized his redshirt season after undergoing back surgery.
2005-06 Season
Fall: Took home medalist honors in only his second tournament as an Aztec, defeating teammate Josh Warthen on the first playoff hole at The Club Glove Intercollegiate... Carded a 4-over-par 220 at the event, leading SDSU to its first team title of the year... Logged a top-20 finish at the Barona Collegiate Cup, tying for 17th with a 7-under 209.
Spring: Recorded his lowest score as an Aztec, firing a 5-under 208 en route to a sixth-place tie at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational... Carded a second-round 66 in the tournament, which tied him for seventh on the Aztecs[apos] all-time list for lowest 18-hole score... Notched two other top-20 finishes at the Oregon Duck Invitational (t-20th) and Mountain West Conference championships (19th)... Was the team[apos]s top finisher at the NCAA West Regional, posting a 2-under 214 to tie for 46th... Finished third on the team with a 73.05 stroke average... Was one of only four Aztecs to complete all 38 scheduled rounds during the season.
2004-05 Season (Georgia Southern)
Fall: Captured the individual title in only his third collegiate tournament, firing a 9-under 207 at the Franklin Street Partners Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C.... Posted a top-10 finish at the Inverness Intercollegiate in Toledo, Ohio, tying for eighth with a 7-over 220.
Spring: Finished in a tie for 27th at the NCAA championships after shooting a 10-over 280... Earned PING honorable mention All-America honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America... Also garnered Southern Conference freshman-of-the-year accolades and received second-team all-conference recognition.
Summer: Competed in the Scandinavian Masters carding a 274 to tie for 25th in a field of 76 golfers... Also played in the Skandia PGA Open Challenge Tour, finishing in a tie for third on rounds of 70-70-65-69.
Prior to College: Has been a member of the Swedish national team since 2003... Won the 2004 Bankboken Tour Elite (71-69-70), 2003 Swebank Open (69-70-72) and the 2003 Hovas Junior Open (69-73)... Took third at both the Swedish Amateur Match Play and Swedish International in 2003... Was ranked as the top amateur in Sweden in 2003.
Personal: David Palm was born April 8, 1985 in Landvetter, Sweden... Parents are Gunar and Susanne Palm... A public administration major whose favorite athletes are Peter Forsberg and Vijay Singh.
