Most recently played for the Grapettes Merrida 18U Gold (Woodland, Calif.) from 2024-25... Spent 2022-24 for the PGF Nationals 14U Universal Macias (Brentwood, Calif.), serving as team captain and helping the team to a seventh place finish at nationals in 2021... Also was a team captain while playing for PGF Nationals 10U AASA Macias (Brentwood) from 2018-21, leading the squad to a fifth place finish at nationals in 2018... Competed for AASA French (Benicia, Calif.) in 2017-18, again being the team captain... Ranked highly as a prospect by Extra Innings (nationally 34th in 2021, 13th in 2022, 36th in 2023), West Coast Preps (9th in Bay Area), SBLive.com (Top-20 in the North Coast Section) and Linedrive Sports (56th in class of 2025)... Was a finalist for the West in the PGF All-American Game in 2023 and 2024.

Lettered all four years at Benicia High in Benicia, California… Helped the Panthers to a league and regional title and second place finish in the state as a freshman... Named DAL First Team All-League, team Co-MVP and Offensive MVP, Cal-Hi Sports Player of the Week, West Coast Preps Player of the Week and Month, Livermore Stampede All-Tournament Team and NCS President's Scholar Athlete for that season while tallying a 1.173 OPS... Won another league championship as a sophomore, earning Cal-Hi First Team All-State, First Team All-League, NCS President's Scholar-Athlete and Heart of the Team honors and putting together a 1.027 OPS... Repeated once again in the league her junior year while placing in the top four of the region... Accumulated a 1.236 OPS as a junior and picking up all four of her accolades from the year before once again.

Emma Caroline French was born on February 5, 2007, in Walnut Creek, California… Daughter of Lora and Peter French… Great uncle, Ray E. French, is a member of the Pacific Coast League Hall of Fame and had a 27-year professional baseball career including time in the MLB for the New York Yankees, Brooklyn Robins (currently the Los Angeles Dodgers) and Chicago White Sox... Grandfather, Ray T. French, played minor league baseball in the New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs systems as well as for the San Francisco Seals... Father played college baseball at UC Riverside... Sister, Grace, played softball at Bradley from 2019-23 and coached at Northwestern, as well as serving as an assistant under Coach Nuveman Deniz for the AUSL Bandits... Brother, Jacob, is a utility baseball player at California after spending his freshman season at San Francisco State... Is majoring in business with a minor in economics and plans on starting her own business and getting into real estate following college… Lists her favorite athlete as former NBA player Kobe Bryant… Chose SDSU over Stanford, Northwestern, UC Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Bradley, Cal Poly, Notre Dame, Cornell, Dartmouth and Pittsburgh...
