Became the 12th player in MW history to earn all-conference honors four seasons and just the second Aztec, joining Celena Velasquez from 2003-06 ... Will now look to be the first player in league history to be named to five all-conference teams next season ... Was one of four Aztecs to start all 28 games (21 at shortstop, five at second base and twice as the designated player) ... Batted .272 (22-for-81) with four home runs, 15 RBIs, 21 runs, two doubles, three triples, 14 walks and seven times hit by pitch, owning a .417 on-base percentage and a .519 slugging percentage ... Hit .336 (45-for-134) with three home runs, 19 RBIs, 17 runs, nine doubles, 20 walks and three sacrifice flies, while owning a .470 slugging percentage and a .421 on-base percentage ... Led the team in average, walks, slugging percentage, on-base percentage and sacrifice flies ... Tied for fourth in the MW in sacrifice flies (3) and seventh in fielding assists (99) ... Overall, Thompson posted a .267 average (40-for-150) with six home runs, 19 RBIs, 27 runs, seven doubles, a triple, 12 walks, seven times hit by pitch and seven stolen bases, while recording a .447 slugging percentage, a .347 on-base percentage and a .944 fielding percentage ... Ranked second in the league with 127 fielding assists ... In conference play (which the MW awards and all-MW teams are decided), hit .347 (26-for-75) with five home runs, 15 RBIs, 20 runs, four doubles, a triple, nine walks and five stolen bases, while recording a .627 slugging percentage and .438 on-base mark, committing just three errors in 118 chances at shortstop, posting a .975 fielding percentage ... Had a tremendous first season at SDSU, being named the Mountain West Freshman of the Year and a first-team all-MW pick ... Batted .333 (45-for-135) with seven home runs, 31 RBIs, 26 runs, five doubles, two triples, 20 walks, four times hit by a pitch and six stolen bases, recording a .556 slugging percentage and a .434 on-base mark ... Committed just eight errors in 223 chances at shortstop for a .964 fielding percentage ... Was the only Aztec to start all 49 games and one of just three to play in all 49 contests ... Among the all-time freshmen at SDSU, ranked second in assists (131), third in home runs (7) and OPS percentage (.990), and fifth in slugging percentage (.556) ... Her 130 assists ranked second in the MW ... In league play, was even better, batting .391 (27-for-69) with six homers, 21 RBIs, 16 runs, four doubles, a triple, 10 walks, a hit by pitch and two stolen bases, recording a .739 slugging percentage and a .475 on-base percentage ... Was a four-year varsity player for Benicia High School in Benicia, Calif. under coaches Kristen Grubbs and Jeana Geras ... Was an athlete of the year finalist in 2015 and 2016 ... Received all-league honors for three years ... Was an SCAC MVP All-State softball nominee for Cal-HS Sports ...
