Appeared in all 31 games and made 26 starts, and averaged 9.1 points in 32.3 minutes per game as a freshman at Utah State… Shot 40.0% from the field, 33.9% from three and a team-best 86.8% from the free throw line... High School
Attended Minico High School in Rupert, Idaho where she was a was a three-time all-state and all-conference selection, and led the Spartans to a district championship in 2022… Named the Idaho 4A Player of the Year as a senior after averaging 25 points, 5.3 rebounds and four assists per game... Scored over 2,000 points... Set the all-time Idaho 4A state tournament scoring record, after totaling 95 points with 31.7 points per game during three contests in the 2023 tournament… Averaged 25 points as a junior... Was a four-time all-conference selection and two-time all-state pick... Played club basketball for Tree of Hope Idaho... Was a four-time letterwinner in volleyball and also played softball at Minico HS.

Carlie Jo "CJ" Latta (Lot-uh) was born in Burley, Idaho to Jennifer and Steve... She has four siblings… Her sister Aubrie Vale played basketball at Westminster in 2019… Enjoys pickleball, volleyball, football, legos, freehand drawing, and playing xbox... Lists Steph Curry as her favorite athlete... Majoring in kinesiology and aspires to be an athletic trainer... Chose San Diego State because of the "amazing coaching staff and culture of the team."
