Was a two-time first team all-state selection at South Medford High School… Helped her team win the 2024 state championship and take second in 2026… Hit a buzzer-beater in the 2026 semi-finals, finishing a long lob pass to beat Tualatin, the No. 11 team in the nation… Had 26 points in that game… Set the 6A OSAA state tournament rebound record (51 in three games), which was previously held by Stanford All-American and current Los Angeles Spark Cameron Brink… As a senior, averaged 15.8 points and 11.6 rebounds per game… Played AAU ball for the Cal Stars… Was also a standout volleyball player, earning First Team All-State honors as a middle blocker and outside hitter while also being named her league’s MVP twice… Her mom Robin coached her in volleyball.

Born in Ashland, Ore. to Robin and Nkeruwem Akpan… Her mom played volleyball at Sonoma State, and her dad played football at Hawai’i and then for the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL… Her grandpa Steve Lawrence played football at Cal… Has three siblings (Tobias, Idorenyin and Kuyikabasi)… Enjoys swimming, baking and trying new foods… Lists Serena Williams and Dennis Rodman as her favorite athlete… Chose to attend San Diego State because “I love the Aztecs’ competitive play style, the school’s commitment to their student-athletes, and the culture that Coach Stacie and all the staff have built.
