With the Victory...
* - San Diego State has won five consecutive games and seven of its last nine games.
* - Continued its best start since the 1984-85 squad opened 20-5. Last season SDSU was 18-7 after 25 games last season en route to winning the Mountain West Conference regular season title, the MWC tournament championship and a berth in the NCAA tournament.
* - Won five straight MWC games, the second longest MWC winning streak in school history (the Aztecs won eight in a row last season) and tied for the eighth longest conference win streak in the 86-season history of Aztec basketball.
* - Won 24 consecutive games at Cox Arena when owning at least a 10-point lead at any time during the game.
* - This marked the seventh consecutive game the Aztecs have held their opponent to 40.3 percent field goal shooting or lower.
* - The seven SDSU turnovers matches the Aztec record for fewest miscues in a Mountain West Conference game.

The Series
San Diego State defeated UNLV for just the 12th time in 41 career meetings... The Aztecs have won four of the last five games and six of the last eight encounters... It is the fourth straight season in which SDSU has defeated UNLV (first time in school history)... Eight of SDSU's 12 victories over the Rebels have come during the Steve Fisher era... SDSU was 4-17 prior to the Fisher era and 8-12 since he took over... The margin of victory is the largest for the Aztecs over UNLV since its series-opening 29-point win back on Jan. 8, 1966... The 52 points allowed tonight is the fewest in the history of the SDSU-UNLV series.

Brandon Heath
Wasted little time getting on the scoreboard tonight, with his floater in the opening minute he became the first 2,000-point scorer in San Diego State and Mountain West Conference history to reach the milestone... He recorded his 50th consecutive double-digit scoring game... The senior now has 200 career points in his nine games against UNLV... Heath connected on multiple three-point baskets for the 20th time this season.

Lorrenzo Wade
Continued his stellar defense and returned to double figures tonight for the 16th time this season... San Diego State improved to 13-3 when the sophomore reaches double figures... He set a new career high for steals in a game tonight... Wade posted his fourth straight game with multiple blocks and his three blocks ties his career best.

Richie Williams
Richie Williams connected on multiple three-point baskets marking his ninth contest with at least a pair of three-point field goals and his third straight... The Aztecs improve to 12-1 this season when he has at least five assists in a game.

Mohamed Abukar
Mohamed Abukar scored in double figures for the 21st time this season.
