2018 (JUNIOR): All-Mountain West Second Team selection... Played in 58 of a possible 60 games with 55 starts... Exclusively saw action as SDSU’s designated hitter... Was the first player in the Mountain West to win multiple Player of the Week awards and finished the year as one of two players in the conference to do so (also teammate Jordan Verdon)... Went 8-for-13 with four doubles in games against UC Riverside and UNLV to help SDSU to a 4-0 week and earn MW Player of the Week honors on May 1... Became the first Aztec since May 2015 (Danny Sheehan & Seby Zavala) to homer in three consecutive games, doing so at UNLV from 3/23 - 3/25... Went 9-for-19 over four games against CSU Bakersfield and UNLV with three home runs, seven RBIs and a double to earn his first MW Player of the Week award... Finished 20th in the Mountain West with a .327 batting average, 16th with a .523 slugging percentage, 13th with 42 RBIs, sixth with nine home runs, and 11th with 112 total bases... Hit eight of his nine home runs in conference play, good for the fourth most total home runs in MW action... Hit .345 in conference play... Finished fifth on the team with 20 multi-hit games and second on the team with 14 multi-RBI games.
2017 (SOPHOMORE): Played seven games including five starts despite being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in January 2017… Heard the good news in August 2017 that he was cancer-free… Received treatment from City of Hope in Duarte, Calif. From Dr. Stephen Forman, M.D…. Rode on the City of Hope float at the 2018 Rose Parade on Jan. 1 in Pasadena, Calif… Logged a hit in six of seven games played… Went 2-for-4 at Cal State Fullerton on Feb. 22… Recorded a double in his final at bat of the season at home against Long Beach State on March 21.
2016 (JUNIOR COLLEGE): Played one season of baseball at College of the Canyons where he was coached by Chris Cota ... In 2016 hit .385 with seven doubles, 15 home runs and 61 RBI in 31 games ... Also had a .468 on-base percentage and a .720 slugging percentage ... Led the state in both home runs and RBI ... All-conference and CCCAA all-state selection ... A Southern California All-Region second-team selection ... Winner of Big Stick Award as the state’s top offensive performer... Hit .409 in conference play... Led all junior college California players with 15 home runs.
